Overhead lines, OPGW and power cables transport power between power plants and substations. We can design networks and HV(DC) interconnectors and we have specialised in HVDC rectifier stations and HVDC interconnector cables. Network calculations, loadflow analysis, protection studies and grid stability studies can be perfomed by our partners under our supervision. We also strongly support the renewable power generation technologies and hence we advise on solar PV, CSP and on- and off-shore wind projects as well as energy storage by means of batteries and/or flywheel technology.

We can write or review the product specifications for all main components of a transmission or distribution substation. We have specialised in the bid evaluation, procurement and quality control in the factory, during loading, transport, storage and laying of subsea power cables and umbillicals, inter array cables connecting wind turbines to the offshore substation, export cables transporting the wind power to the shore as well as (HVDC) interconnector cables and MV subsea power cables connecting Islands to the mainland.
We have extensive worldwide experience in monitoring the quality of cables, switchgear, GIS, power transformers and instrument transformers for medium and high voltage substations. Our inspectors have witnessed type tests in high voltage and high power laboratories of manufacturers all over the world. We also monitor manufacturing processes and acrry out inspection of components before shipment. In case of an unexpected failure or breakdown of a component we assist owners and insurance companies to identify the root cause of the failure and advise on measures to prevent reocurrence.
